Why are cookies smaller?
Chip bags taller
With nothing but air
In them
Credit cards
with decreased spending limits
Bank accounts
with nothing in them
Oil and gas prices high
Living expenses high
Insurance high
No relief for the working poor
in sight
Why the rich minority
Doesn't extend help
To the working poor majority?
Honest people are shunned
Liars receive all glory
Morals are pushing up daisies
More abused women and babies
Ignorance spread like rabies
A virus
Wars in the news tire us
People on high
Make judgment calls
For people down low
Freedom doesn't ring
after all
All these thoughts
Run through my head
What action could I do?
What could be said?
To make a difference
